I went to this place with one of my friends. From the outside and inside it looks like an ordinary restaurant but their food was extraordinary!!! Their falafel sandwich, more like a wrap was delicious. My friend and I both loved the food, we both ordered the vegetarian item falafel sandwich.
I had the bead and lamb gyro plate. The sambusa was my favorite part of my meal. The service was quick.
I was very shocked by the quality of the food (as usual my evaluation will be as a frequent traveler around the countries) this restaurant has a Somali style they have a Ramadan iiftar daily for 24 buffet and the food was enough there is rice meat chicken beans fruits vegetables water everything and the quality of the food was very very wonderful I understood from the restaurant that after Ramadan there will be such a buffet every Friday thank you continue the place is normal but the quality of the food is excellent and I knew that when I saw the women in the internal kitchen
The atmosphere was meh. Nothing special. But the gentleman serving was helpful with any question or suggestions. Quick service. I had the goat, hilib, that tasted too me like oxtail. The appetizer we had was yummy. They have a "salsa" that was served with the appetizer that was great and spicy.
The food was really good and the staff was nice. Very authentic and laid back atmosphere. Would come again.
If you into Somali food and you in Phoenix Az then that’s the place to go especially if you’re Trucker with or without your trailer they have spot for you and plus they have masjid and shop center I’m speaking Somali shopping center it’s like Minneapolis very masha Allah place
Waamo is fantastic African food!!!! The Qutulaash and the Lamb shank are delicious, and the Samosas are incredible with the green sauce!!!! I'll definitely come back to get the goat.
Awesome food. I had the Chicken Sukhaar and I must say it was definitely delicious. The way how the chicken was marinated was amazing and everything tasted fresh. Exceptional service as well and I will be visiting next time I’m in the Phoenix area.
